Man on a mission: Hans Similon ready to take Start it @kbc to an even higher level

On the 7th September 1630, the great city of Boston was founded. Later, in 1966, actor Toby Jones was born. And today, in 2016, former chief Viking and marketer Hans Similon has his first day at Start it @kbc! Which is only good news for our growing community of 385 startups.

“As a true pay it forward-believer, I’m looking forward to helping lift Start it to a higher level and connect young entrepreneurs”, says Hans. “This community is a unique opportunity for both entrepreneurs and mentors to develop themselves. They learn from each other and make each other stronger”.

His mission is obvious: Expand the community of mentors and build more bridges between startups from different hubs.

Start it founder Lode Uytterschaut: “The 385 startups at Start it @kbc are in different stages of the business life cycle: going from the early to the growth stage. Every startup in every sector is welcome. They inspire and challenge each other, and they are being coached by our multidisciplinary experts. This exchange of knowledge is one of the biggest advantages of Start it @kbc.”

Founding mother, Katrien Dewijngaert adds: “Apart from expanding the mentor community, Hans will stimulate the interaction with the community of startups, which is spread over six locations in Belgium.”
